13th Street, the channel for thrillers, horrors and crime, have released an interactive thriller, The Last Call, or . The cinema audience, to be specific, one of the audience, is able to communicate with the protagonist through his/her phone which was preliminarily submitted by the viewer. The lady calls the viewer from inside the screen, and the voice recognition software ensures simple communication between the two. The viewer dictates the protagonist what to do in certain situations, thus ensuring a happy or gloomy end.

With the recent 3D boom, this news is in danger of being left unnoticed, but it’s a great idea, no doubt. One problem, though, needs to be solved: an individual ruling the plot for the whole audience – how annoying it may be for the rest? But using this idea for home video must work just well…
