I feel like I need to share this from time to time So here is my rating of the teams that failed my expectations after the first round. I don’t have a chance to watch all the games, so this is solely from what I could see and judge. Anyone is welcome to argue.

1. Spain is number one fail for sure. Actually, the Spanjards did play ok this time, but the Suiss managed to keep their goal safe. So, with the good performance Spain were misfortunate enough to become the 1st among the recognized favourites to lose. They surely have to be more lucky. And try harder.

2. England. These guys really failed. The US is a hard nut to crack, but the problem was the English performance. The team that I always liked for combination of skill and passion seemed to be lacking both, and a draw was a good result for them in the context. I hope they improve real soon

3. Australia. Ok, this team had to face the German machine. But they are the only team that conceded 4 goals without scoring any – they have to be in my list

4. From Greece I did not expect great results this time but playing with no will and passion is not something that a World Cup can tolerate. They NEED to improve.

5. Denmark was facing another favourite – Netherlands. This time the two teams on the pitch clearly belonged to different levels. I expected some more solid performance from the Danes.
