To continue with my thoughts about 1st round, here is the list of teams that underperformed in the 2nd round.

1. North Korea. One of the teams that surprised me in a good way in the first match, collapsed in their second. Portugal have surely made their way through the group stage with the stunning 7-0 win.

2. France. Vice-champions have ended their 2nd match with no goals. This time they conceded 2 goals and have put themselves in a quite difficult situation… which gets even worth with the conflicts rising inside the team.

3. England. Another match that the Brits can’t be proud of. Next one they must win, but tell them to the tough Slovenia that has eliminated Russia to show a very decent performance here at the World Cup.

4. Italy. Another favourite shows the 2nd match with no sign of champions’ play. They must need to improve to go further.

5. I guess, I should mention Cote D’Ivoire. Maybe because I like the many great players in this team. Too bad they are in the same group with brilliant Brazil and Portugal. I guess, after Portugal’s triumph against North Korea, there’s too little hope for Ivory Coast to go through.
