Amnesty International Hidden Poster Reveals The Death Sentence Problem

This is a series of hidden installations on the streets from Amnesty International to raise awareness on the prisoner Troy Davis, who has been on a death sentence for as long as 19 years now, despite the fact that there still are doubts about his conviction.

The poster is installed on fence rails and it shows the prisoner’s face but only when you look at it from an angle, while the front perspective shows nothing behind the bars. The project is called Making the invisible visible.

This interesting idea comes from Brothers and Sisters, a creative team of two – Lisa Jelliffe and Kirsten Rutherford – who have teamed up with German street art group Mentalgassi for this project.
